I can’t believe it’s already April! Year 2018 is going by faster than ever, and today’s the big day for my once a month currently post with Anne in Residence! I look forward to these posts each month as they require a little extra thought and creativity.
The featured words for April are Showering, Cultivating, Expecting, Cooking, and Buying.
Ezekiel 34: 26
And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
Only God can make showers of rain come and go. In the same way, it is only God who showers us with mercy, love, and grace on a daily basis. We just celebrated the Easter season, and one of God’s greatest blessings is the gift of His Son, Jesus, the perfect Sacrifice for the sins of mankind. We are showered with God’s love due to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus!
Springtime weather has been in my locale for the last several weeks, and I will NEVER cultivate a love for pollen. My brown porches and steps are covered in thick layers of yellow, and sweeping helps only for a short time. I do love all the blooms and pretty weather, but sometimes I think I see pollen hanging in the air!
On another note, I’m trying to cultivate less of a sweet tooth after all the Valentine’s gifts and Easter baskets! The more sugar I eat, the more I want. It’s addicting!
Last month I co-hosted a month long spring link party with several other bloggers. The party opened on March 19th, but it is open until April 19th! I would love for any fellow bloggers to link your spring related posts.
You can link your post at Welcome Spring Link Party March 19 – April 19 2018, and I am expecting some great posts from you all!
Please, please, please leave me a comment on this post if you link to my spring party so I will know you participated. (And even if you don't link, join the fun and leave me a comment today, please! Let me know you stopped by!) I will be choosing bloggers to feature for a special post on April 23rd!
With two growing little people, cooking is always on my to do list. I posted my latest recipe over the weekend, and it is a favorite for everyone and super kid friendly… Tater Tot Casserole with Veggies
I am planning on buying paint to help upcycle a piece of furniture in the very near future. I have painted furniture in the past, but I’m excited to use a different product that was recommended by my local paint store. If all goes as planned, check back soon for a DIY project post! I will leave the item I am painting a mystery for now, so be sure to check back for those before and after pictures!
