A Simple Christmas

A Simple Christmas

Christmas is one of my favorite times of year! It is a blessed time to celebrate our Savior’s birth and rejoice in Hope amidst a troubled world.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

Christmastime brings many exciting events to our lives… decorating, church Christmas programs and dinners, gift buying and receiving, music events and special performances, spending time with family and friends, extra cooking and baking, and viewing Christmas lights! These wonderful gifts are given to us by the good Lord to help us enjoy life and His blessings, but we must not forget the true Reason for Christmas. Jesus is the Reason for the Season, and it is His birth that we must celebrate most importantly!

I John 4:19

We love Him, because He first loved us.

Acts 5:31

Him hath God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

So as you enjoy the blessings of the Christmas season, remember that those blessings are available to us because Jesus came to save sinners!

I Timothy 1:15

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Philippians 2:8-11

And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name: That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
