It’s already month five on the calendar, and I am currently celebrating, creating, wearing, sharing, and going for the month of May!
Celebrating
We are celebrating Mother’s Day this month! My family celebrates by going to church and eating a nice meal afterwards. This year I am gifting hand print plates made for my mother and mother-in-law. It’s a perfect gift for grandmothers! I always look forward to receiving thoughtful presents from my husband and children as well!
While Mother’s Day is a special day for mothers, it is sometimes a sad time for those facing infertility or loss. Brandi at Chicken Scratch Diaries recently highlighted Infertility Awareness Week and posted an excellent article titled, Lending Your Support Through Infertility: How to be the Friend She Really Needs. If you have experienced the loss of miscarriage or know someone who has, you can also read my personal story of miscarriage that I wrote several years ago ~ An Unexpected Miscarriage.
Creating
I recently created a new recipe, Amoré Hazelnut Mini Pies. They are so tasty and perfect to serve as a light snack, an after dinner treat, or at a fancy brunch. I love that these pies are mini because of portion control, and they leave fewer crumbles from the graham cracker pie crust!
Wearing
If you have followed my currently posts, you know I was wishlisting a new pair of everyday black shoes back in February. I finally found them and have been wearing my cute little black wedges. It’s sandal weather now, so I will probably wear my new shoes more in the fall, but they definitely go with some of my summer outfits too!
Sharing
At the end of April, I shared my features from the Welcome Spring Link Party. There were 410 links for the party, and I managed to narrow my features down to 11! I hope you will view them at Spring Roundup Best of the Best!
Going
A couple weekends ago, we took a little trip to the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum and had a fabulous family day riding a train and participating in all sorts of activities at the Day Out With Thomas™. If you have children, a train ride is a must for a bucket list!
It’s also wedding and graduation season, so I will be going to a wedding and one or two graduation ceremonies during the month of May. Time passes on, and the months are going by so quickly!
What are you celebrating, creating, wearing, and sharing? Where are you going? Share in the comments!
