Despite the fact that I am a water drinker, my skin is on the dry side. I have always heard that drinking water helps hydrate the skin, and in my experience, it really helps me. However, I still have dry skin. I have never been one for wearing tons of lotion, and these days with all the strange chemicals in personal care products, I’m glad that I haven’t worn lotion every day of my life. As I get older, I do find myself using lotion on a more regular basis, especially in the winter, and I have tried several different brands and types of lotion in my quest to find the "perfect" one.
Lotion definitely has some cons.
First of all, I don’t like lotion with an unusual smell, and secondly, I certainly don’t want it feeling sticky and slimy when applied. I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about!
During my search for a lotion for my baby, I also found the perfect lotion for me.
Here are the pros: It smells nice, feels nice, and is free of harmful ingredients.
It meets the criteria for sure! So, what is it? I’m glad you asked! Drum Roll Please…

Young Living launched a line of products for babies at the 2017 Convention called Seedlings, and this line includes a lotion just for babies! I haven’t tried it, but I would like to at some point. I currently don’t need to purchase any lotion because the bottle I have has plenty in it. The KidScents Lotion is quite thick, so I don’t have to use too much at one time. And, if you enjoy the smell of lavender, I have heard rave reviews of Young Living’s Lavender Lotion!
So in my experience, lotion is definitely on my “to use” list rather than my “not to use,” but I’m pretty picky about which one I choose.
By the way, this isn’t the only lotion that I will use, but it is my all-time favorite! If you need some tips for keeping your face looking great read Facial Skincare Routine for Fall ...AND... Skin Care and Basal Cell Carcinoma is another great post for tips regarding protecting your skin all year long!
