Top Three Least Favorite Chores, Home Cleaning and Organization Tips for Moms

Top Three Least Favorite Chores

March 1, 2016

We all have tasks and responsibilities around the house. It doesn’t matter if you are a single person who works 8-5 each day or a mother who spends a lot of time at home.

Of the chores that we do on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis, some are more enjoyable and some are not so enjoyable!

Sometimes I complete a task and have no thought about what I am doing, but there are those certain tasks that ALWAYS fill me with dread!

These are my Three Least Favorite Chores…

1. Folding Socks

I don’t mind folding clothes, but matching socks is so boring! Wouldn’t you agree? I had rather fold twenty-five towels than ten pairs of socks any day!

2. Unloading the Dishwasher

Until recently, I didn’t have a dishwasher. I grew up with a dishwasher at home, but after I married, I never lived in a house that had one. A dishwasher is a wonderful invention to save time on washing dishes, but unloading that machine is a job I usually hand over to another family member…aka husband. Ha ha! In fact, I had rather wash dishes by hand than unload a dishwasher, and I often do this just so the dishwasher doesn’t fill up as quickly!

3. Changing Sheets Solo

The feeling of fresh, clean sheets… ahhh! So nice! But, getting those sheets on the bed without a helper is a slow process! It’s kind of like peanut butter and jelly…they go together, and changing sheets is much more pleasant when it is a two person job!

This post isn’t meant for griping or grumbling about what we do. It’s just a good stress reliever to acknowledge things you do and don’t like to do! We all have personal preferences! Read these two Bible verses for keeping a pleasant spirit.

I Corinthians 10:31

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

 Philippians 2:14

Do all things without murmurings and disputings.

So, what are your three least favorite chores?
