My family recently traveled to Greenville, South Carolina for a wedding, and our weekend hotel accommodations at Hyatt Place® Greenville Downtown were perfect for our family of four.

Valet Parking and Check-in at Hyatt Place® Greenville Downtown

When we arrived at the hotel property, my husband left our vehicle with the valet parking attendants while I went inside to check-in. Parking is valet only on-site for a $20 nightly fee, but a public parking garage is also available across the street for those who wish to self-park.

Due to the nature of our trip, we were in-and-out of the hotel numerous times each day, and the valet parking attendants always delivered our vehicle quickly and efficiently. Don’t forget that a great attendant deserves a nice tip!

While the check-in associate was confirming my reservation, I took some time to look around the spacious lobby. It is tastefully decorated with modern hotel décor. Several meeting spaces are available off the main lobby, and the open business center is convenient for those traveling for work purposes.

Both the valet attendants and the hotel associates were following protocol for COVID-19 by wearing masks, and the front desk also has shields to keep guests at a proper social distance. At the time of our visit, all hotel guests were required to wear masks within indoor public areas.

Room Accommodations at Hyatt Place® Greenville Downtown

Our room accommodations included two queen beds plus a cozy corner sofa bed. A family of up to six would be plenty comfortable with these accommodations. The Hyatt Grand Beds™ were oh so comfy, and our sheets were the traditional hotel white. On the drive home, I was wishing for a relaxing nap in one of those grand beds!

Accommodations also included a 55” flat-screen TV, individually controlled heat and air-conditioning, blackout shades, a mini fridge, large desk with chair, free wi-fi, and an iron and ironing board.

The bathroom was well-lit, and we were provided with plenty of fresh towels for our family. The front desk also accommodated us with additional towels and toiletries as needed. The bathroom was freshly cleaned, but the toilet could have used a little more attention. Thankfully, I travel with my own cleaning supplies, so I was able to take care of this little issue with no trouble. The shower was slow to drain, but this maintenance problem can happen at any hotel and is easily repaired.

Breakfast at Hyatt Place® Greenville Downtown

Free hotel breakfast is super important for a mom of two hungry kids! A wonderful selection of grab-and-go items is available for hotel guests including delicious muffins that are individually wrapped; boxed hot breakfast options with sausage, french toast sticks, and scrambled eggs; yogurt; and apples. These breakfast options are just another way the hotel is going the extra mile to protect hotel guests during the pandemic.

Other Hotel Amenities at Hyatt Place® Greenville Downtown

The pool and fitness center are available for guests who sign-up at the front desk. We did not use these recreational amenities due to COVID-19, but it is nice the hotel is making them available with limitations for guests. A fun putting green is also available for additional guest recreation.

My family appreciated the friendliness of the hotel staff and the relaxing accommodations of Hyatt Place® Greenville Downtown. Thanks for a great stay in Downtown Greenville!
